Product Description
When a little boy gets too big for a 20" wheeled bike the Cobra 24 is the way to go. The heavy duty steel frame will hold up to the trials of childhood while the 40mm suspension fork will make heading down the dirt paths much more fun. Add in both front and rear twist shifters and he will have lots of gears to experiment with. The linear pull front and rear brakes will make stopping easy. Better than Walmart

This bike is heavy, but is the best I found in the $200 price range. Very easy to put together. Came with all necessary tools. My son, 10, really likes it. It has a low stand over height for a 24". It came with a broke shifter in the box, but one call to Diamondback and new set is on the way. Ordered a kickstand and speedo to install. Will replace Sunrace shifters with Shimano trigger style ($32 EF-51). It looks great.

Broken shifter

Like the other two reviewers, mine, too, came with a broken rear shifter housing - the one on the right handlebar. My son is pretty disappointed because it's his birthday and he wants to ride his new bike. Other than that, it's OK. Directions are frustratingly vague on adjustment of the brakes and gears - just like on every bike I've ever bought. I believe I will just take it in to a bike shop and have them do the adjustments, and probably go ahead and replace both shifters.

The delivery was fast. It got here just in time for my sons birthday. It was quite a savings over Dicks sporting goods. With a little mechanical know how I was able to assemble it in 2 hours. It takes a little work to adjust the breaks correctly. The directions are not really clear here.We noticed on of the shifter housings was broke on arrival. The diamondback Amazon rep replied quickly and sent out a new set. The only thing was it was not he stock shifters. I had to make some adjustments to make it work.Overall my 11 year old son loves the bike. He can climb any hill in our neighborhood now!
