The wheel size is 24" and the frame is 15" making it slightly smaller than a full size cruiser. It is great for riders who don't feel comfortable on a 26" and would like to have more control and feel more stable on their bicycle. Color matched fenders are also avaialable for purchase for this cruiser. This cruiser is great for all types of riding and will last a long time. The three speed is a Shimano Nexus Internal 3 Speed Hub which is best internal 3 speed on the market. so i received the bike at work and it wasn't too heavy to carry by myself. i'm pretty short so my biggest concern was am I going to be able to ride this thing! I am 4'11 and i do have some trouble coming to a stop, but more in the beginning now that I'm getting used to it. I also learned to ride like a "lady" and have both legs on one side just as I'm about to get off...this helps prevent my crotch from slamming into the middle bar. lolthe only thing i'm not that big a fan of is that you have peddle back for the breaks...again nothing horrible, just a learning curve.If your shorter than me (4'11) i would prob say go smaller...i can manage the height on this.** packaging was good, i was able to put it together...but not 100%. Suggestion, get what you can together then take it to a shop to have them fix it. I did that and it was a lot cheaper. they also calibrated it, they say when the bikes come from the factory they are pretty tight. I think total I was charged $40. Not bad to make sure it doesn't fall apart on me. lol

A bike like a bike should be.

I gave this bike to my daughter for her birthday. It costed a little more, but I knew this was a bike she would ride for 15 years--or maybe longer. The thing is solid, but the three gears make it super easy for my 9 year-old to pedal around. It's a real beach cruiser--whitewalls, big fat seat, wide handlebars and a kickstand. My daughter absolutely loves it. I wanted to give her a bike she'd always remember--kind of like my old red Stingray with the banana seat and sissy bar was for me. I think I succeeded. The assembly was easy too. In fact, it was so easy that I was a little disappointed. It took me 20 minutes. I thought it was going to be one of those dad-staying-up-all-night-on-a-project kind of things. Buy this bike. You or whoever you get it for will love it.

My daughter had outgrown her kids bike and really liked my and my husband's style of bike. We searched the internet, read reviews and settled on a bike from Beach Bikes. My daughter is very particular about comfort, positioning of the handlebars, etc, and she loved it! She said it felt smooth and easy to bike, and she had no trouble adjusting to an adult bike after riding only kids bikes for years. We will definitely buy from Beach Bikes again!
