Missing parts, not accurately depicted or described on Amazon

I ordered this bike as a gift for my wife. After unpacking it all, I realized that 1) the front basket was missing and 2) the rear rack was metal, not bamboo, as described and depicted online.Instead of sending the correct parts, Amazon made me repack the bike (impossible to do correctly after cutting away the packing materials and plastic zip ties) and wait around for a UPS pick-up to take back the bike.So now her birthday gift is being sent back.Save yourself the irritation. Don't buy the bike.

Made in China!

The description of this bike says it is made in Europe. There is a sticker on the frame that says it is made in China. Unless China has become a European country, there is a discrepancy here. As for the bicycle, it rides nice, was not difficult to assemble except for the front basket. There was no bracket included to mount the thing. Don't know if it was missing from the box or what.

It appears I am the second Amazon customer to complain about receiving this bike without the front basket that is clearly pictured and described in every online listing for it, including this one on Amazon.com. After first getting really, really angry, I calmed down and started tracking down the basket.I have since learned this is a logistics issue of Amazon's. The U.S. distributor of Hollandia bikes, Cycle Force Group, has repeatedly advised Amazon.com that this bike comes in two boxes, not just one. Yet Amazon continues to ship just one box. Unfortunately, Amazon will not just send you the second box. They clearly state in the Help content of Amazon.com that you have to contact the manufacturer to resolve all missing parts as part of the manufacturer's warranty. So, you must contact Cycle Force Group per the contact information in the user's guide supplied with the bike. They arranged for the second box with the basket to be shipped to me within 8 business hours of my contacting them.As for the bike itself, it's exactly what you would expect for a cheap cruiser bike. It's perfect for running errands around town when you don't want to deal with traffic or put your high-end cycles at risk when you leave them outside of somewhere. And if someone steal it, you are only out $300, not $3000.
