Great budget bike - maybe the best for the money!

This bike was quick to assemble, and fairly easy to adjust once completed - although it needed more adjustments than the ladies version. It took about 20 minutes to assemble, and 20 minutes to adjust. There is nothing we saw comparable for around $ 240, the bike is light, and rides and handles similar to bikes we had that cost $ 450.The only issue I can see is the cables for the rear derailleur and brakes go down the top of the upper frame tube, never seen that before - usually they go down the side or the bottom.BTW, ordering and (free) delivery took all of four business days - appreciate that Amazon.

Good But Not Great For The Money

I chose this bike because it seemed like the most bike for the money......a good value. I got it to ride for exercise primarily on the smooth flat streets near my home. I used to own a high quality Trek hybrid which I guess has spoiled me. This bike is no Trek, but then again a similar Trek would have cost more than twice as much. At 60 I won't put too much stress on this Schwinn so it'll probably do just fine. It took me about an hour to assemble it and I was happy that the wheels were true and the brakes and shifters well-adjusted out of the box, so no extra expense needed for adjustment. The seat could be a little softer but a gel cover will improve the comfort. My only real complaint is that the geometry is just kinda wierd. I'm 5-9 with long legs and arms for my height and I feel just a little cramped on this bike and the strangest thing is that unlike any other bike I've ever ridden, when I make a tight U-turn, my shoe contacts the front wheel. My feet are average sized but when I peddle I see that the rotation puts about 3-4 inches of my feet beyond the back edge of the front wheel. I'm generally satisfied with this bike and I'll adapt to it's quirks. Not sure I'd buy it again though due to the odd geometry.
