OK Bicycle But Many Shipping Issues

The first bicycle arrived with several punches/holes in the cardboard box where it was obvious it had been handled roughly in transit. Unboxing it, I found the head tube was dented (could not install handlebars), the rear derailleur was bent, and the front wheel rim was bent. Too many issues for a new bike, so I sent it back for replacement. Amazon was fantastic about the return and mailed the replacement bike quickly.The replacement bike had no major issues. Assembly was straightforward. The included instructions are good but I had to surf the Web to find out how to open the front brake to install the wheel (it's simple to do, but there were no instructions in the manual) and to get more detailed instructions and pictures on how to adjust the linear pull brakes (first bike I've owned with this style of brake). The only problem with the bike is that both the front and rear derailleurs had to be adjusted because they were not reaching all of the gears. There are instructions included with the bike on how to do this, but frankly I found them difficult to understand and ended up taking the bike to a bicycle shop. For $30 they adjusted both derailleurs in far less time than it would have taken me. They commented that the derailleurs are "flimsy" and that I should only change gears when the bike is not under load or they will bend out of alignment. Good to know!Overall I am satisfied with the bike. It fits my needs, which is to have a comfortable bike to ride around town on paved surfaces. 21 gears is way more than I need, but it is nice to have the fine adjustment for when I am going up and down hills. The seat is comfortable and the front shock absorber works surprisingly well in smoothing out minor bumps. One thought though: check Walmart. They seem to have a similar model Schwinn for ~$50 cheaper. I had a coupon for Amazon that dropped that gap down to $20, and I strongly prefer Amazon, so I bought this bike - but you might conclude differently.

Bicycle was easy to put together and looks great. The ride is extremly smooth and quiet.Also receieved the order with no problems and very fast.I can honestly say that this Bike is well made and I am very happy with it!!

I had this bike for less than a week before it was stolen, During the ridiculously short period of time while i owned this bike, it worked perfectly well. I can't say I have any complains. However if the bike came in a less exuberant color, one which wasn't so attractive to bike thieves perhaps things might have turned out differently. In conclusion, Dear Reader do not use a flimsy or cheap lock on this bike especially if you live in a high crime area supposing you do not want it to get stolen.For Your consideration &Nuff said.
