By crknight2305
I bought this bike a few weeks ago for $225 shipped to my front door (from another website). The price I paid for it and the amount of high quality hardware is amazing. I have already ridden this bike many times on dry, wet, damp, and muddy trails of all types of difficulties. I have also ridden on roads a little as well. The bike holds up very well on all obstacles. The tires could be a little more aggressive for the type of riding I do, but offer a good compromise for road driving with a continuous center rib. I am 5'11" and I have no complaints about the size. Overall the bike seems well built.Pros:1. Disc brakes (front and rear) work great even when wet.2. Full Suspension (adjustable rear)3. Flawless shifting (Shimano)4. 24 speed5. Pre-drilled holes for water bottle cage (no cage included)6. Easy to assemble7. Looks good8. Semi-aggressive tire9. Light weight (38.5 lbs)Cons: (these don't matter to me, but will help you in buying a bike)1. No instructions2. Front suspension not adjustable (but stiff enough to not lose a lot of power)3. Packaging (bike came undamaged but the damage to the box made me nervous when it arrived)4. Handle bar caps broke (still fit but crooked, and easily and cheaply replaced)5. Reflectors on pedals broke off (due to my hard riding)6. Says Jeep all over it7. Seat is a little too stiff (most bikes have this problem)8. Semi-aggressive tire9. Handle bar grips a little hard. Most of these can be fixed with simple and cheap upgrades, but are just fine how they are. I am just being hyper critical for your benifit.Since there were not instructions included I thought I would put together a quick guideTools needed:4mm and 5mm allen wrenches. Adjustable wrench, flat and phillips screwdrivers1. Take bike out and cut all zip ties. Be careful removing the front wheel as the pedal is in between the spokes.2. Remove the 2 bolts (5mm) where the handle bar goes and turn it 180 degrees. You might notice paint white chipping off, mine was not noticeable. But be careful not to go any more than you need just in case. Quick check: brake hub is on the left if riding the bike and the handle bar shaft is over where the wheel would be and not over the frame.3. Remove the 4 4mm bolts to where the handle bar itself will go. Put the handle bar in your place of choice and tighten the bolts back down. NOTE! Always tighten these bolts in a star pattern and tightening little by little until snug. When handle bar is in place go ahead and make sure all bolts are snug including the center bolt on top.4. Go ahead and install the front wheel.5. Attach the brake line. Look at how the other side in attached and copy.6. Put the pedals on. They are labeled with L and R. L is left side as if you are riding etc. Use your wrench to tighten.7. Install seat and adjust to your height.8. Attach the front reflector with screwdriverThis bike is very easy to adjust. Both brakes lined up perfectly, but both derailleurs needed adjustment, and now shift flawlessly. If you don't know how, do a quick internet search on adjusting derailleurs and many videos will come up. You can do the same with the brakes if they grind a little.

By Oregon Gil
Bike is a great value for $249. It has an excellent gear shift system, great brakes, comfortable dual suspension, decent saddle and very nice appearance. It needs much better instructions on how to center the front disk brake and stem/handle bars. The Jeep Cherokee Sport provides a very good ride on pavement and moderate trails. I have not taken it out on rugged trails because I do not have the necessary stamina and not because I do not trust the bike. Shipment box had one hole in it resulting in a small scratch but otherwise the bike shipped quite well through FedEX. I gave my much more expensive road racer bike to my son because of the harsher ride and bent over rider position which at my age was now uncomfortable. I enjoy riding this bike much more than the racer even though it is a little heavier at 38.5 lbs. I would highly recommend this bike but believe maufacturer needs to supplement assembly instructions on how to center and adjust the disc brakes.

By Atol
Let start off on the Good side. The bike rides Great. I live in the California mountains and I wanted something that can be use on mountain trails. Most bikes where going around $250 with front disk brake. This one had both disk brakes for the same price. Plus full suspension which was a plus. With 24 Gears it easy to climb Mountain trails. The Cons. Like the others said. The manual sucks. The week before I payed for the bike I got my nephew a new 20" BMX mongose bike. Nothing to do with mountain bike. I tried useing the Jeep Cherokee manual but it But the Mongose manual was more detailed then the Jeep Cherokee Manual. It had clear instructions for adjustments.Would I buy this bike again. Yes.
