Very nice bike

I wanted a bike I could just ride casually and this is a very nice bike. It is well made, comfortable and I like the colors (white/aqua). My husband put it together for me, and he didn't seem to have any trouble. I saw the bike originally in a sporting goods store but bought it from amazon.com for a lot less money.

Love this comfort bike!

I purchased this bike because of the great price on Amazon and free shipping. I received the bike within a week of ordering and setup was minimal. Everything went together with no fuss. I've been riding daily for 3 weeks and I absolutely love this bike. Everything on this bike works the way it should. It's lightweight, great handling, has very responsive brakes and the massive aluminum tube frame has a beautiful pearl/aqua paint design. Best comfort ride! Thank you Amazon!

Love this bike. First delivery was flawed with bent parts but amazon reshipped and picked up the faulty one. My bike enthusiast son put it together with ease.I love riding it. Easy and like the suspension. No owners manual however which is an error. overall a worthwhile buy. But check it before you assemble as I nearly gave up when the first one came. But due to excellent and fast amazon service I got the bike I wanted.

Perfect for our autistic 12 year-old

There seem to be a lot of both 1 and 5 star reviews here, and I think I can explain that. This bike is, in effect, a recumbent trike that can accomodate everyone from a 7 year old (and maybe smaller, for all I know) to an adult. But it IS a trike without a chain or gears -- the pedals go direct into those little wheels. What it is perfect at -- and useless for -- are both directly related to that fact.What it CAN'T do is pick up much speed at all... or for that matter, get up a steep hill very easily. So if you're looking for a bike that'll handle a commute or trips to the store, you'd be nuts to buy this thing. It'll be useless, you'll hate it, and you'll and be mad about being out a bunch of money. So... there's your one-star reviews accounted for.What it CAN do is give excellent exercise and cycling experience for people who *can't* normally ride a bike. While you wouldn't want to ride real far in it, taking it for a mile-long spin through the local park is no problem at all. So: let's say you have a bad back or, as in my case, an autistic kid who's a flight risk on a bike. Well, this thing will get you in the fresh air and give a you a very pleasant but meaningful workout.For an autistic kid, it's a godsend. My son needs constant supervision, so we can't just have him tooling around on a regular bike. The Triton is *just* fast enough to be fun for him, and yet just *slow* enough that I can keep up with him at a good brisk walk. There's little danger from him falling off a bike so low to the ground, and I can keep up on foot to make sure he doesn't go veering off into a road or something. And the bike itself is fun and unusual enough that when his schoolmates see him on it at the park, they're fascinated and want to try it out themselves. Which is high praise indeed!

We purchased this bike for our adult Down Syndrome son. He loves it. Since it has arrived he spends at least 1 - 2 hours each day riding it. His weight is slowly coming down; his energy level has increased tremendously as also his self confidence and independence.We had tried traditional bikes, but he struggled with them due to balance and the seating. The Triton with its recumbent seat and rear wheel navigation gives him security and control.Without a doubt, we would highly recommend it for any special needs individual. It is just FUN!

SE BMX 18 inch Bike .....Excellent!

Great experience all around with this order. Impressive fast shipment with this Bike. Excellent packaging. Very good padding and packing of multiple parts. Standout service and communication from Seller here on Amazon. As for the bike itself....outstanding. From the materials used to the precision fit of every part, this is a very high quality BMX bike for its price range. It is actually an excellent bike regardless of price range. Being a former competitive BMX racer, I can honestly convey that you will be truly satisfied. Sure it is not a thousand dollar BMX racer but it is a well built and very strong bike. From the welds on the forks, frame, handle bars to the type of neck, hubs, rims, and cranks...this bike exceed my expectations. The seat on it is double stitched and its feel is that of a much more expensive line. The brake system and the cables are excellent and the partial assembly that was already done was done very well...(as opposed to crimped brake lines and scratches experienced on other bikes from large retailers). Ultimately, this bike is a genuine, good purchase...much more for your money than you will get at your local sporting goods such as Dick's etc. This SE versus a Diamond Back at the same price, this SE will blow the Diamond Back away in every category and every bicycle part. Overall the bike is also quite "light" and it was easy to do its final assembly. I am a former bike mechanic so it took my literally 7 minutes to complete whatever needed but realistically someone who never took apart a bicycle would simply do it relatively easy in about an hour maximum. If you're thinking of a BMX bike for your child in this price range, I can assure you that you need not look further.

An OK bike for a biginner....maybe.

I bought this bike for my wife who is wanting to start riding with me. For the price I didn't expect to receive the same quality that I would get from a bike shop, but even with low expectations I was still a little disappointed with what I received. It is definitely a low quality product. I have a road bike that I purchased form Wal-Mart for the exact same price and it is definitely a higher quality bike even though it is cheaply made too.I believe the bike will work well for my wife's casual riding, but for someone looking for a good entry level road bike I would not recommend this one. There were a few things that I did not like when I received the bike. The first one was the packaging. I was actually afraid something was going to be damaged when I got it. I also thought I was going to break or bend a spoke trying to remove the handlebars because of the way they had them woven through one of the wheels in the box. It was missing a bolt to mount the shifters to the stem. Even though it cost less than a $1 for me to get bolt for it, that is still annoying when parts are missing. I also had to replace both inner tubes because neither held air, so that was another $10 I spent.For a casual beginner this bike may be fine, but don't expect much if you purchase it.

not good, not bad

this is the first bike i have ever purchased, though i used to have an old schwinn bike from uncle. this bike is at a relatively cheap price compare to most of road bikes, however, i can tell that this is also i cheap-make bike as well. the out-look of this bike is really good, but components and parts are made with cheap materials, such as the break lever, the brake, and the pedals and so on. and as the other reviewer mentioned, the wheel is a little bent, it take time for you to fix it, unless you would spend $$ at a bike shop. these were the negative side.but overall, i didn't receive with parts missing (as the other reviewer mentioned), and the assembly is not difficult, it took me just about 1 hour. however, it took me a lot of time to fix all the little parts. finally, my bike running smoothly, and it is eye-catching too.compare to the price of other road bikes, i would say this bike is ok, not too good, not too bad. and if you are just a bike racer or serious biker, i guess this bike is fair for you. however, if you want a really good bike, i could tell this is not, as mentioned earlier, a lot of components are cheap.

Excellent for the Price

I bike all over South Florida on roads that are not always smooth, but I was tired of lugging around a heavy mountain bike, so I decided to switch over to an affordable road bike. This bike looks good, handles well, and is light and convenient to lug up stairs at the train station, so its perfect for me. After reading the other reviews, I had a feeling I would not be able to assemble this on my own. The instructions were so baffling I put everything back in the box and took it straight to my local bike shop for them to assemble and tune up. Well worth the 30 bucks to avoid all the hassle and aggravation of trying to do myself.
