By E. C.
This was a gift for my husband. Love him, but not the handiest person on the planet. He had no trouble assembling it the rest of the way, or so he thought. On he first trip (with the toddler wagon in tote) he was exhausted after a couple of miles. He realized that the breaks were partially engaged all of the time. So, if you purchase and assemble this yourself, look for the little screw holding the break pad in place, that can tighten and loose to complement the brake line for the right amount of pressure and non-pressure.Other than that, great delivery, condition, and product!

I just received this bike from Amazon. The only other place I saw it listed for sale was on Sears' site. Schwinn says this is a sport store bike (Dick's) rather than a big box store(Target)bike. Amazon doesn't have too much in the way of specs on the bike. It probably weights about 30 lbs. The tires are 700 x 40c. So they are not a narrow racing tire. The bike does havea kick stand with it, even though you can't see it in the one picture Amazon shows. It also has a chain guard. Assembly isn't terrible, but I did unhook the front brake cable and re-route it in front of the handelbar. I also had to take the stem off the handle bar, install it, and then reattach the handle bar to the stem. The bike came in a Schwinn box, that was within another larger box, but there was some damage to both boxes, and the seat was bent. At Amazon's suggestion, I called Schwinn, and they said they would send me another seat. So......I am older, and don't like to lean down on the handle bars, so this comfort bike with the higher handlebars should be good for me. An with 24 gears it should make the hills manageable. It looks like a good bike, and looks well made. The brakes and gear selectors are already attached. You just have to twist the handle bar around and mount it on the bike, along with the front tire.If you ever played around with your bike as a youngster, you can probably figure out the assembly. The handle bar install and adjustment is the only real work.

By Matt Bruntel
1. This bike is a Size 16. If you're taller than 5'8", this isn't the bike for you.2. Assempbly requires a metric Allen wrench set which isn't included.3. Break alignment is a bit tricky. Refer to the first review for the fix.4. The instruction manual is poorly organized. That said, it's a fun entry level hybrid. It's great for relaxed rides for relatively short distances on flat terrain. The bike handles well on roads and grass/smooth trail. I like the upright seated posture, and the seat itself is comfortable.
