By BroadTech
This sounded like a great idea, until I read all the details.A one year warranty on the frame does not sound like they expect it to last past one year. However, with the removable brake 'feature', more than a few frames may come to a bad end before the year is up.The requirements for a warranty claim, such as having the serial number that was on the box, even though the company has the record of you purchasing the bike. The sales receipt should have the serial number on it. That is standard practice in the business world. This whole warranty sounds like it was written by the company founders themselves. The requirements for a return will drive many people to an actual bike shop. Think of how much this is going to cost you if you just do not like how it rides. Return shipping, insurance and restocking fee - add it up.The removable brake idea is brilliant! Without that heavy and useless brake, this bike will really go - stopping is another matter.I commute to San Francisco where these fixie bikes started. The brakeless version has already injured quite a few people. Now there's a company making these insane bikes. It's a good thing ... NOT.
