4Good bike with some cheap parts...
By Matt in Houston
First off, this bike works well and I in no way regret my purchase. It is very smooth and silent, and also very stable. All of the functions are nice and overall it is a great bike. The problem I have is how cheap it looks and perhaps some of the build quality or materials they used. I would say in person, it looks about 2 or 3 times cheaper than the stock photos that I see on the internet of this bike. The grey plastic is just...cheap. I feel like this bike probably has a HUGE profit margin. In addition, the plug where the AC adapter plugs into the bike was broken and I had to rig it up a different way and tape it up with electrical tape. Luckily for me the repair is hidden inside the bike, but it still is disappointing to spend this much on a bike and have it seem so spotty with the build quality. In the end, it is more about function than it is about looks, and in this department I can give it an A+. You will for sure get a great workout with this bike...some of the increased tension levels are pretty extreme but equally silent and very smooth...your legs will be burning before you know it. The built in hand grips which take your pulse seem to work fine and the built in programs are great. I am still discovering more each day, it seems like the computer on this bike is quite advanced and has a lot of options. The seat is not bad. It isnt very soft at all, but it is designed well and I havent had any pain in my back or bottom as I ride. Smetimes I wish the seat were a little softer, but I bet the one it has now will last a lot longer than a seat that is too soft and could be prone to damage with age.I think this is probably one of the best bikes you can get for the price, but just be aware that if you are after top quality, you will need to spend more and look else where. On the other hand, if you are willing to compromise a little, than this could be the bike for you. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

4Easy to assemble, good build quality
By Railfarmer
This is not our first exercise machine so we have a feel for what is quality and what is not. This machine is a good quality machine. There are better recumbent machines, but not at this price.PROS: - Well packaged: UPS abused it badly but the machine inside was intact; no damage; no missing parts. - Assembles quickly: about 45 minutes for one person. - Assembled easily: all needed tools were included; parts easy to identify; (really just attach legs, seat, and computer). - Feels solid: I'm heavy and this holds my weight and stands up to a good workout. - Has heart rate control: just start the program and pedal; the machine maintains your heart rate. - Flexible pulse sensing: Built-in handle grip sensors (easy, fast, accurate), or earlobe clip (not incl), or Polar-type chest strap (not incl). - Easily shared: seat moves easily; computer remembers four people (plus guests). - Easy in & out: step-through is not too narrow plus a strong handle bar array just for getting in & out. - Remembers workouts: Computer tracks accumulated time, distance, calories throughout the day. - Clock & temp: (trivial but nifty) when idle the computer shows the time of day and room temperature - Quiet: Practically silent in fact - Comfortable seat: for an hour at least.CONS: - No fan: wish it had a little blower fan like my treadmill. - Computer is non-intuitive: must read manual (takes a while to learn). But easy to use once you know how if used regularly. - No external interface: wish it had a USB interface to PC or flash drive.OTHER:The pedaling feel is not the same as real cycling. This is my first cycling machine so I don't know how it compares to other machines. But I do ride my bicycle for pleasure and the pedaling feels different on this machine. Basically, it doesn't feel right to pedal on this machine. But then this machine is an exercise machine and not the same as bicycling leisurely around the neighborhood. Or maybe pedaling a recumbent feels different than an upright. All in all I feel this machine was worth the price I paid. It cost more than I budgeted but it was the least expensive machine that had all the features I wanted and that was well built enough to last a long time.I recommend it if it meets your needs. If anything changes I will post an update.
