Product Description

Looking to give your first tri event a shot but not really looking to break the bank? Interested in the sport but don’t feel comfortable on a race ready road bike? Here at Diamondback we hear you loud and clear and have just the rig to get you off training and competing. Enter the all new Men's Interval. Taking all of the features that you know and love about your standard performance hybrid and integrating an aero position clip-on bar for maximum aero dynamics and comfortable position options. Add that to the Interval Elite butted 7005 alloy performance hybrid geometry frame with formed top tube, integrated head tube, and DBR AERO Performance alloy fork and you’ve got yourself one fast machine. Shimano Tiagra 10spd shifters, derailleurs and cassette plus an FSA VERO Compact N10 crankset with 50 & 34t rings give you a standup drivetrain that is worthy of any task. Equation 700c aero deep dish rims laced to 28f and 28r hole alloy hubs add a sleek, lightweight and aerodynamic wheelset to the mix. Tektro Rx3 Mini V brakes are controlled by Tektro ML730 2 finger brake levers with reach adjust for maximum stopping power. A DB Performance soft nose hybrid gel saddle mounted to an alloy micro adjust 27.2mm post offers an exceptionally comfortable yet performance base for riding. A DBR oversized flat bar road and 3D forged stem are a great start to the cockpit… and the cockpit is where things really start to spice up. Unique to Interval is the aero position clip-on bar. Found more often on high end tri bikes, the aero bars offer you numerous riding positions allowing you to streamline your body position on a bike. Not a fan of the bars on casual rides, take them right off. One bolt… it’s that simple. The Diamondback Interval Men’s is gloss black and comes in 4 unique sizes: SM (15"), M (17"), LG (19"), XL (21"). If you love riding your performance hybrid but would love to give a local tri event a go sometime… check out Diamondback’s Interval.

5Very Satisfied
By Scott Major
I bought a cheaper bike from amazon and was not satisfied so I returned it and bought this one. I must say I am very satisfied. It is very light and easy to ride. The shifters work flawlessly and shift quietly. I like the fact that it has only 2 gears on the front and 10 on the back, so it is much easier to shift than a 21 speed bike. There is not as much redundancy in the gears. The only thing I would advise with this bike is to take it to a bike shop to be assembled. THere are MANY different parts and it is not as easy to assemble as other bikes I have purchased.

4Very happy
By Ramon Gonzalez
I just got this bike from sports chalet for 799.99. I had the Diamondback Trace sport but decided I wanted something much lighter. This is an amazing bike. The gears are so much smoother and its soo light compared to my Trace. The only thing I dont like are the grips. I prefer not to have the 3D grips. This may not be a top of the line bike but for someone who is very new to biking I think I have done well

1What a flail
By mh
I had high hopes I would like this new bike, but it has been a perpetual flail. Packaging and shipping was fine - no damage. However, putting it together was a true labor. The "manual" it comes with has absolutely nothing to do with this specific bike. Instead, it is a generic manual for seemingly all of their different types of bikes so when it describes putting together or doing things it often shows several completely different types and/or models and you have to decipher which one might be the most appropriate. This was a huge amount of trial and error. I had never done anything like this and know very little about bikes so it was very frustrating. Very painful and truly salt in the wound however was to find better or more complete info that clarified the issues (on the internet) that could have been very easily included and/or referenced that would have saved a huge amt of time and angst. I admit I didn't count, but I spent many hours over several days trying to figure things out. I was determined, methodical and very careful and in the end finally had it all together and adjusted. The worst however just happened. I finally took the bike out for the first time and within 3 blocks both tires were completely flat - despite just filling them very carefully to the specified PSI as instructed (again, at another website, because THERE WAS NO INFO INCLUDED!).So I thought, ok go to the source and call for tech help and see if I needed to do something different, or there was a malfunction/defect of some sort, or what their recommendations were. The guy on the phone simply said that it would be too difficult to try and explain or tell me, and that if I was having problems I should take it to a bike shop and get it fixed.WHAT A WASTE OF $700 AND WHAT A MEAN-SPIRITED, CALLOUS RESPONSE TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT/CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!IT IS A NICE LOOKING BIKE - JUST LOOKS LIKE I'M GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE IT IN TO A BIKE SHOP AND GET NEW TIRES AND GET IT REPAIRED WITHOUT EVER EVEN HAVING BEEN ABLE TO USE IT - AND OF COURSE HAVING TO PAY FOR REPAIRS AND NEW TIRES. DANG...SUCKS BIG TIME
