The Chief 3 speed is a great multi speed cruiser for taller men or just guys who want a little more stretch in their cruiser. The Chief's frame design features seat tube, with a 17" measurement from the bottom bracket, whereas most mens' cruisers have a 19" measurement. But, the frame is 3" longer than normal, and the pedals are shifted forward giving the rider great leg extension. The 3 speed is a Shimano, making this bike an excellent ride. Rated by Beachbikes to be one of the most comfortable rides for men, it provides riders with that relaxed cruiser feel most are looking for. All decals are easily removable should riders want to simplify the look even more. Chief Cruiser

I was so disappointed when I received the box. It was not packed well and had some scratches. Wish I would have spent the extra money and bought one local so I could return it. It appears returning it would be such a hassle and there is a restocking fee.

Great Cruiser Bike

If you are looking for a bike that is easy to ride and simple to use, this is the bike for you. It glides on the beach shoreline and when riding on bike paths/roads. This 3-speed bike is just what I was looking for to cruise around on during the summer months.

I recently purchased this bike from Beach Bikes and it's flat out an awesome bike. I had done some local research here in Nor Cal for similar bikes at local bike stores and any bike with more than a single speed was in the $400+ range, which was out of my price range. I did some Google searching and found the Firmstrong Chief. In order to get it, I would have to order online, sight unseen...so I was a little bit hesitant. I found a great review of the bike here: [...] and that was the deciding factor for me. I bought the bike for what most single speed cruisers cost and it was at my doorstep within days. Some easy assembly and I was on my way. I use it to cruise into work on nice days, about a 4 mile trek and the 3 speeds really come in handy...and actually get me moving pretty quick when needed. The bike shifts really nicely. I'm not a small guy, 6 foot, 215lbs and the bike is sturdy and reliable. I get lots of compliments on the bike and I'm definitely please with the purchase. Waiting for the weather to warm up so I can ride it more often...the only problem is my wife has ridden the bike and now wants one of her own! :)
