Dahon warrants its bicycle frames, handleposts, and rigid forks to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five years. In addition, Dahon warrants all original parts on the bicycle, including suspension forks and rear shocks, for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Suspension forks and rear shocks shall be covered by the warranty of their original manufacturers

I ordered this bike with the intention of giving it as a gift.UPS delivered the box in pristine condition.When I opened the box, and lifted the bike out, to check it out, the first thing I saw, in the bottom of the box, was a broken plastic part, that belonged on the derailleur.I personally don't feel that I have any obligation to find a bike repair shop, to have them repair this "new" bike, at Dahon's expense.I notified amazon.com immediately, indicating I wanted to return the bike because a part of the gearing was in the bottom of the box, and broken, and amazon.com wrote back that I should repackage the bike, and UPS would pick it up the next business day.I did as asked; and UPS picked it up the next business day.This is the first item I have ever ordered from Dahon. And it will be the last. With Quality Control like the above - I didn't want to take a chance on any more Dahon bikes.
